Michelle Higgins of The New York Times recently wrote a piece about safety concerns when travelling to
Mexico. A recent spate of unfavorable news from boarder cities has vacationers apprehensive about travel to coastal resort towns. The silver lining is that this press has given added benefit to traveling to safe areas like Puerto Vallarta and San Miguel: ". . . this has made travel to Mexico a hard sell lately, but travel agents say the negative publicity has also made Mexico among the best values out there as resorts lower rates or add free incentives to entice travelers."
The article also mentions
Mexican Destinations, VacationRoost’s luxury Mexican villa brand, and outlines how Destination Experts allay travelers’ hesitations about visiting Mexico.

Born in Texas, but raised in the beautiful Salt Lake Valley, I've always known the mountains of Utah to be home. After pursuing duel marketing and business degrees in the Great White North of Logan, Utah, I re-settled near downtown Salt Lake City where I can enjoy the best of both worlds: city life and world-class mountain ranges. You can always find me exploring Salt Lake's foodie scene, skiing at Alta, rock climbing or hiking in the breathtaking Wasatch mountains.
