The Cliff Lodge has units from hotel to two bedroom condos and is ski in, ski out. Put your skis on and go! The Lodge, Iron Blossam, and The Inn also have units ranging from hotel to two bedroom condos. From the latter mentioned lodging units, you are just a quick walk to Snowbird Center (5 minutes). Get that heart rate going before you hit the slopes.
Where it's at!
Snowbird is just 6 miles up Little Cottonwood Canyon. You could stay in Salt Lake City, as well. Depending on your pass, you may be able to ride the UTA bus for free. Why not kick back and relax while they drop you off at the front door? Buy your ski pass in advance so you can get a good spot in the Tram line. You'll be at the top, 11,000 feet, in ten minutes. Hopefully, you planned your strategy for maximizing powder on that bus ride up or that quick five minute walk. You've got options though. Advanced skiers like to head to the Cirque or High Baldy.
Chips Run is great for those intermediate skiers or those looking for a warm up. Need a little more practice? Take Lupine Loop to the backside of the resort, Mineral Basin, and practice your pizza or french fry turns on Baldy Express. Would you rather sit on a chair and take in the beautiful morning? Snowbird has ten other lifts to offer. All can be accessed by the Tram or by a short traverse from Snowbird Center.
Apres Ski
The day is coming to an end. Your legs are tired from the 3,000 vertical you have been skiing all day. Reward yourself! Now comes my second favorite part of the day, Apres Ski! Just below the Tram ( see, you don't even have to walk that far) is the Tram Club. Purchase a beer and get a shot for a dollar. Most of the locals will be there, too. Maybe you want to take in the alpenglow on the hills? Head to the Wildflower in the Iron Blossam for a spectacular view, enjoy a pitcher, and take advantage of their wing special. Not a chicken wing fan? El Chanate in the Cliff Lodge has dollar tacos and margarita specials right after the chairlifts stop turning. If you just want to mellow out and reflect on your day of tearing it up on the slopes, why not soak in the hot tubs on the tenth floor at the Cliff Spa? You might as well get a massage while you are up there. You deserve it
