It's no secret that we're a little ski-obsessed here at Mountain Reservations, but there's something extra-special about hitting up the mountain after a huge storm dumps down layer after layer of fresh powder. Here's a (short) list of the many things we love about POW days to get you pumped for the upcoming season. Bring on the POW!
- High fives in the tram line
- Tallboys on the tram deck
- Watching a buddy slay a line he's never skied
- Getting lost and finding a new pow stash you never knew about
- Pow beards
- That first chair feeling
- Face shots
- Like riding on a cloud
- Cover up’s
- Silence thru the trees then loud hoots from the lifts
- Big cliff drops
- Yahooing in the trees
- Being excited to wake up EARLY
- Getting out in terrain I wouldn’t do without a cushion of powder
- Soft Landings
- Carving first tracks in fresh pow
- Breaking out the snorkel
