With wildflowers abloom, hiking and biking trails open and the slew of fun events, from annual music festivals to new adventures and activities, summer in the mountains is easily on par with ski season. Check out new attractions and activities not to be missed!
Tucked in the trees on Snowmass Mountain’s Elk Camp area is the Lost Forest, where you can find the new Breathtaker Coaster plus, zip lines, biking trails, rope challenges and climbing walls. It doesn’t end there; there are ponds for fly fishing, hikes to be unveiled and two disc golf courses.

Steamboat’s newest attraction, the Outlaw Mountain Coaster, is the longest coaster in North America. The track, which starts near Christie Peak Express, has more than 6,280 linear feet, descends more than 400 vertical feet, rises up to 40 feet above the ground and features dips, turns and 360-degree circles.
Located near the American Flyer lift, Copper’s new mountain coaster lets you get some Gs in the trees. Open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily, the coaster is 5,800 feet long and descends 430 vertical feet on an average grade of 10.9%. The coaster is a good motivation to get outside for some fun in the woods.
Jackson Holes newest guided outdoor adventure, the Via Ferrata, which means the "iron path" in Italian, is perfect for families, groups or individuals. Taking you above the valley through suspended bridges and along granite walls, the Via Ferrata is a new attraction that allows you to explore the wilderness around Teton Village.
