"The shorter travel time, the better with kiddos. Try to look for resorts with nonstop flights and shorter drive times from airport to resort, such as ORD to ASE (Aspen) or DFW to HDN (Steamboat). Don’t focus so much on lodging that is ski in ski out, rather consider lodging that is next to or a short walk to ski school. Kids in ski school will have a much better experience meeting other kids and receiving expert instruction! This gives you time to comfortably make your own turns as well. "
